Directions

Mapleton Avenue runs parallel to the famous Pearl Street in Boulder. You can take 9th Street three blocks north of Pearl to Mapleton, and turn West (to the left). From 4th and Mapleton, drive into the foothills about 3.5 miles (The addresses are the mileage from 4th and Mapleton; i.e. 2700 is 2.7 miles). Mapleton becomes Sunshine Canyon Road. Look for a dirt driveway on the right and a sign with a few addresses on it; one of them says "3476". Drive up the hill, where parking is clearly marked to the right. Walk down along the roped path to the northeast, crossing a dirt road through the trees to The StarHouse. Please wear shoes appropriate for a short walk through a forest. Car-pooling is encouraged. Please note that paths may not be lit at night, so you might want to bring a flashlight for night-time activities.
