Meet the StarHouse Team

The StarHouse, founded in 1990, is operated by an incredibly devoted and talented staff, and  governed by a Board of Directors.

The StarHouse is also supported by a large team of skilled event leaders, facilitators, and ceremonialists who offer an array of events, courses and other experiences designed to serve our core mission of nurturing greater connection between the Earth, stars and human hearts.

Founders

David Tresemer

Passed away in Feb 2024, leaving a remarkable legacy through The StarHouse and beyond.

David Tresemer, Ph.D. was the primary visionary of the StarHouse. His skill with geometry and design brought together a unique team to construct the alchemical vessel of the StarHouse. Together, with Lila, his wife and partner, the temple and surrounding landscape was dedicated to transformation and Sacred Union. David designed the Solar Cross system for the “star poem” qualities of each of the 360 zodiacal degrees. He authored myriad star wisdom articles (published in the Journal for Star Wisdom and other books), and co-authored Star Wisdom & Rudolf Steiner. He had experience as an organic/biodynamic farmer and wrote The Scythe Book, which has sold a thousand copies every year for forty years. David was editor and contributor to The Counselor… As If Soul and Spirit Matter, and the past president of the Association for Anthroposophic Psychology.  With Lila, he co-authored The Conscious Wedding Handbook (Sounds True publishers) and they created many online courses found in the website library.

Lila Sophia Tresemer has been involved in The StarHouse since 1994. David and Lila envisioned a spirit-based community based on the highest common denominators of those drawn to a trans-denominational path. She is a group facilitator and certified mediator, author, photographer, ceremonialist, and minister. She co-founded The Path of Ceremonial Arts in 2000, and the Women of Vision program (with Anastacia Nutt) and in Israel & Palestine. Lila is dedicated to building a global community that honors  Feminine and Masculine partnership and celebrates the Sacred in all beings. Her current passion weaves a living network for the Lineage of Sophia (literally, “Wisdom”) for people around the world who are seeking to reconnect with sacred Earth activism and spiritual practices that matter in these astonishing times! Lila leads annual sacred activist journeys to Washington, D.C.

Lila Sophia Tresemer

She has published The Conscious Wedding Handbook (with David) and loves co-creating inspired weddings and counseling couples.  She facilitates Threshold Crossings, solstices and equinoxes.  She has published the novel, Don’t Go Back to Sleep (and has a second novel ready to print!) along with many of the online courses offered through The StarHouse.
